“What does your day-to-day look like as a Google Product Manager?” is the single most common question people ask me.
To share my answers with more aspiring PMs, I made this video about my day-to-day working from home as a PM in Silicon Valley.
Like everybody, my typical day started with CANNOT GET OUT OF BED! This video also covered my daily schedule, my typical meetings and what I do to keep the lights on everyday!
Special thanks to the entire cast: Abby, Ben, Felipe, Mustafa and Cat. I am so grateful for having all of you record this video with me and thank you for bringing in your improv talent and spreading the joy to the broader community.
I made this video to talk about my favorite class at Stanford - Touchy Feely -along with my facilitator, Michael Lin (ex-Google, ex-Waymo, Stanford GSB MSx). This class taught me how to be an authentic leader, a more effective communicator and a better conflict resolver. The learnings helped accelerate both of my professional and personal journeys.
For those of you who have taken Touchy Feely either at GSB or the weekend version, let me know if the video resonates or if you have more to add to the list of takeaways. If you haven’t tried it out yet, hope this video can bring some perspectives to your exploration of interpersonal dynamics.
What kind of leader are you? Understanding your leadership style is critical to improve your leadership effectiveness as a project lead, manager or executives.
A boss has the title. A leader has the people.
As product managers, we need to lead without authority and I personally lead a cross-functional team of 100+ stakeholders. In this week’s video, I am going to share how I figured out my leadership style and used it to identify growth areas to become a more effective product manager.
